For more than twenty years, Lynda Lasswell Crist has worked as project director on The Papers of Jefferson Davis at Rice University. Crist has contributed to all the published volumes, and been editor since the fourth volume. She also worked on The Papers of Andrew Johnson. At once a publishing venture (14 volumes, Louisiana State University Press), archive, and research center, the Davis Project is now part of the Fondren Library’s Woodson Research Center at Rice University.
Although Harvey has come and gone, many in our community continue to struggle with uncertain physical, temporal, and emotional spaces. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you recover and heal.
