Ann Olson has developed and implemented a comprehensive bayou-enhancement program which includes land acquisition, trail and park development, public programming, and permanent and temporary public art along Buffalo Bayou from Shepherd Drive to the Port of Houston Turning Basin. As president of Buffalo Bayou Park for twenty years, she and the BBP board have raised and leveraged over $150 million in private and public funds for the waterway's redevelopment.

Please note a date in the Mid-term Elections course has changed from that published in the brochure. The course will meet the first two Mondays, October 29 and November 5 as planned, but will meet Tuesday, November 13 instead of Monday, November 12.
