Music: The Ultimate Human Science

Three Sundays, 5:30 - 7:00 p.m., October 28, November 4, and 11

Forshey Piano Company, 2920 Kirby Drive

Timothy Hester, assistant professor of music at the Moores School, University of Houston, using a lecture-recital format, will explore short compositions of the Romantic Era - such as the nocturne, capriccio, fantasy, reverie, and ballad - and demonstrate why they are dramatically and emotionally effective and why music is the "Ultimate Human Science." A piano trio of graduate students from Rice and the University of Houston will also perform.
